PUB Editor Pro - for Microsoft Publisher Editor App Reviews

This is a good idea to view & edit MS Office Publisher document on OS X. It is compatible with MS Publisher software, great editing and exporting functionality. Indispensable publisher app !

I thought I was buying the full version of Publisher. This is a cheap imitation with limited abilities. Trying to move a text box is near impossible. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

Love the fact that I can open my .pub doc and can made changes to the document. I was hoping that I could create new documents with this app…it doesn’t. Maybe eventually, this feature will be available as I find the price a little high. Once the .pub document has been edited, the app doesn’t permit the user to save it as a .pub doc. It can be saved as a pdf, word or page document.

This is not a tool! This is toy!!! To buy it is like to put money to trash!!! If someone was using MS Publisher and try to use this one would be very disappointed like me!!! Don’t buy it! Luke

This app has just the right amount of functionality to allow me edit my Publisher documents on Mac , and fully solves my needs, so I totally recommend it . Great idea !

It does not let me edit documents. Just a waste of money.

I’m very pleased to use this program as an educator. It allows me to read, edit and save as many types of documents that would otherwise take me many hours to do. I would like export as Microsoft Word format, as I can edit it again in Pages on my Mac. This is a real help in real life.

It does not let me edit. It was impossible to include more pages to the presentation, change colors, letter fonts. I just waisted a lot of money.

If you are looking for a wonderful Microsoft Office Publisher viewer and editor app on your Mac, this is the best I have used. App can do everything well about what It promised, I can edit and insert text, image, change fill color, text color, text font and so on, it is very easy ! Unfortunately, app can not save as .pub file again after I finish the document editing. I have mailed to developer, the customer service is good, they have a plan about this feature !

There is still work to do when opening publisher files in this app. For example my bullets did not show up, so I had to add those. Also, I was unable to move boxes I had on my publication. The text that was in the box looked centered, yet when I print it is not centered. I will need to copy and paste everything from this former pub file to another program so I can move the boxes I have on my flyer.

Indispensable app for Microsoft Office Publisher viewing and editing on Macintosh. Worth every penny ! If you are looking for a wonderful PUB reader and editor on Mac platform, this is the hoped app on you Mac.

This app doesn’t open files I need for work. I use other devices with this app and it works jusat great. It’s a hurt in the pocket when you waste the ammount of money that it cost.

I was in a bind and needed to review a flyer for a very important event for my boss and someone sent the flyer to him in publisher format. He needed me to review it and pull some information off of it. Well, I am on a new Macbook Pro and of course, there is no MS publisher for Mac and I am nowhere near my office production machine so I jumped on the apple store and found this. I bought it and then tried to use it. What a mistake this purchase was. I opened the file and it looked all out of position and I thought it was the other guys error. He then sent it to me in PDF and looked fine. This software could not see the images and blew the formatting all out. I then tried several other publisher files and none of them looked correct and all the formats were competely wrong. If you need to see a publisher file, dont use this one. That was $50 I will never get back. Expected so much more for the price. Save yourself the headache and just go with a VM and a full version of publisher if you are going to be using it much.

This app is easy to use and has just the right amount of functionality to allow me view and edit my Publisher documents form our professors Windwos. As a good microsoft Office Publisher tool on Mac, I hope app have more other useful functionality, such as merging multiple PUB documents, splitting a large PUB document, and so on. Wating for these important functionality on next update.

I was hoping to be able to use this app to update our neighborhood directory, which is in a .pub format. I didn’t really want to pay $50, but if it had worked it might have been worth it. The first version would not open my file. An email to tech support got me a reply of “wait for the update, or maybe the one after that”. One update had no change-still stuck on “analyzing”. Just downloaded this new update- 3 tries to open my document- all leading to the app “unexpectedly shutting down” Two weeks of wasted time and wasted money.

I purchased this latest version for some useful functionality ! This update is just exactly what I needed !

Been using this appp for school & home and it is a great app. They have made major improvements with the update. It is easy to open and edit all of my Microsoft Office Publisher files on my iMac.

Dont know how to get my $$ back for this, but it’s such a waste of $50. You cannot actually create a document with this app. For $50 I thought that you should be able to not only edit what you did on another computer, but actually use your laptop as it should be used and create your own files...

I wanted to export pub files into word and import them into another program. However, there are pictures interspaced in the original pub file. This program leaves the pictures where thy were, but does not arrange the text in the same way it is in the original pub file. In placing the text it ignors where the pictures are and groups the words as if they did not exist. THis requires more work in getting the word doc in an acceptable form for inporting into another program. FYI, on export it seems that each exported page is its own word doc section leaving more work in getting the doc ready to import into another program. The program does not preserve the original format as it says in the ad in the App Store as far as i can see.

I deal with lots of Microsoft publisher document form my older PC, I need this app open and edit them on my new iMac. I have been using this for a long time and find it is very good. It is easy to and full-featured. I give it five stars !
